This is how coding works.

Isn’t it what we all do in our lessons ? Stand up, sit down, tell me, go to……etc

We are all coding in our lives. But we are not writing those all.

In this activity, we just bring it front where is coding in our life. This has to be our starting point. We can tell the mentality of coding then next steps are easier because pupils will know what they are trying to do.They don’t look coding just a text.

So we must be clear, sharp and short. This is, how a code must be, too.

  • We can discuss about codes in real life. Such as we can start with our bodies. How do our brains code? Nictitate without our control, wink with our control. Gulp and swallow. Breathing and blow.etc. We find more examples in the classroom.
  • We can discuss in the classroom. Where are these codes in the life. Maybe machines, transports..
  • We may use math to explain how to make symbols: Using sentences and numbers,

All our effort must be to show that coding is already in our life. It is not a mysterious thing but when we try to write it, then it become complicated.

Coding is not just a gamification. It is just a simple part of coding. We make it serious but take it easy.

This activity is preparing of coding.
